REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Rifle (any rifle that has the ability to change magazines), sling, 3-4 Magazines, Mag Pouch, Electronic Ear Protection, Eye Protection, 200-300 rounds of ammo. Any equipment you want to try out.

PREREQUISITE COURSES: NRA Basic Rifle, or Equivalent Training with Proof. 

  • This proprietary course, designed and taught by CRMP TRAINING LLC dba Phase 3 Training, is focused on developing practical defensive skills with carbines and modern sporting rifles. It is not an NRA-approved program and is intended for internal use only. All course materials are the intellectual property of CRMP TRAINING LLC and may not be reproduced or shared without express written consent from the owner.

  • Participants will learn and practice a wide range of tactical skills, including:● Proper stances and movement techniques● Shooting from kneeling and prone positions● Engaging targets from behind cover● Distance shooting drills● Transitioning to a secondary firearm (if properly licensed)● Multi-target acquisition● Reloading and malfunction drills

  • Safety is paramount throughout the course. Key rules include:● Always point firearms in a safe direction (down range or down if slung)● Keep fingers off the trigger until ready to shoot● Firearms remain unloaded until ready to fire, except during specific drills● Strict adherence to safety procedures during target changes and transitions● All firearms are treated as loaded at all times● Ammunition checks for steel cores; minimum safe distances for steel targets● Continuous use of safety mechanisms except during rapid fire drills● Immediate dismissal for any disregard of safety instructions

  • Upon arrival, staff and participants will coordinate emergency roles, including designating a 911 caller, a guide for emergency responders, and a first aid provider. In case of emergency, a cease fire will be called, firearms will be cleared and cased, and students will complete emergency contact forms prior to live fire exercises. Eye and ear protection is mandatory at all times.

  • Students will review identification and handling of misfires, hang fires, and squib loads. Instructors will monitor for safety and signs of ammunition issues, with remedial actions clearly outlined.

  • 1. Malfunction Clearing & Remedial Action:+ S.P.O.R.T.S. technique (Slap, Pull, Observe, Release, Tap, Squeeze)+ Clearing double feeds, stovepipes, charging handle impingement, and brass over bolt malfunctions
    2. Reloading:+ Normal, speed, and tactical reloads+ Magazine positioning, grip techniques, and chamber checks
    3. Shooting Fundamentals:+ Sight alignment, trigger and breath control, hold and follow-through+ Stance reviews (Isosceles, Weaver, modified stances), grip techniques, and cheek weld

  • Students will participate in a variety of practical drills, including:● Warm-up and snap shooting● Up drill (safety practice and tunnel vision breaking)● Bill Drill (speed and accuracy)● Hammered Pairs/Double Tap (target transitions)● Zipper Drill, 2x2x2 Drill, 1-4 Drill, X-Drill (multiple target engagement)● Mozambique Drill with magazine modifications● “El Presidente” Drill (modified for carbine)● Movement drills (left/right turning, stride and foot placement emphasis)

  • Throughout the course, instructors will stress the importance of safety, accuracy, and tactical mindset. Students will be coached on efficient movement, sight tracking, and adapting speed to target size and distance. Dry fire practice at home encourages skill retention.
