16-Hour Classroom Instruction & 2-Hour Live Fire Range Training
NY CCIA Compliant | Valid Statewide
This comprehensive course satisfies the New York State Concealed Carry Improvement Act (NYCCIA) training requirements for a New York State Concealed Carry License (CCL). Upon successful completion, this course is valid throughout all of New York State, regardless of the county in which you reside or are currently licensed.
This is a New York–specific course, approved and conducted by certified instructors, and meets all NYS mandates for classroom instruction, written testing, and live-fire qualification.

Classroom Instruction📍 616 Harvard Ave., Baldwin, NY 11510
● Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM● Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM● Written examination and classroom instruction continue through Sunday● Lunch breaks are provided on both days
Live Fire Range Qualification📍 Nassau County Rifle & Pistol Range1 Charles Lindbergh Blvd., Uniondale, NY 11553
● Sunday: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM● Students will first meet at the classroom location on Sunday before traveling to the range
Course Content & Requirements
This course includes:● 16 hours of in person classroom instruction● 2 hours of live fire range training● Written examination (True/False and multiple choice)● Practical shooting qualification as required by NYS guidelines
Live Fire Qualification Standard:Students must successfully place 4 out of 5 rounds on an 11” x 25.5” target from a distance of 4 yards, in accordance with New York State requirements.
Attendance is mandatory for all scheduled dates.
This course cannot be completed in one day, and students must attend all consecutive class dates. No switching weeks or sessions is permitted. Exceptions are granted only with proof of a positive COVID PCR test in the student’s name, dated within five (5) days of the class and submitted via email.
Licensing Prerequisites (Suffolk County Residents)Students residing in Suffolk County must possess a current NYS Pistol License (Sportsman, Premises, Dwelling, Business, Target/Hunting, etc.) prior to attending the live-fire portion of this course.
While NYS Penal Law §265.20(3 a) provides certain exemptions, Suffolk County Police Department policy requires a valid pistol license to participate in live-fire training. This requirement is enforced by SCPD and is beyond our control. Please direct any concerns to SCPD.
