Course Structure & Safety Philosophy
Participants begin with a comprehensive welcome and administrative check-in, including staff introductions and verification of pistol licenses. Safety is the top priority: a tailored range safety briefing and strict protocols ensure a secure environment. Mandatory eye and ear protection, along with supervised firearm handling, guarantees that all activities are conducted responsibly.
Range Procedures
● Instructors announce “down range” before moving forward, and all students must repeat the command to acknowledge. A Range Safety Officer remains behind the line to ensure no firearms are handled during this time.● Firearms may only be loaded on the firing line when the “make ready” command is given. Pistols are handled only on the line and with permission.● Guns must remain holstered and unloaded except when at the firing line and the “make ready” command is given. After each shooting string, students must make and show clear.● Firearms are to be cased and uncased only at the firing point when everyone is behind the firing line.● Dropped items should not be retrieved until all guns are holstered and the drill is complete.● Manual safeties must remain engaged between strings if the pistol is equipped with one.
Join us for a memorable shooting experience that combines skill, excitement, and safety in a welcoming environment for all participants.
